TWO TIPS TO FEEL GREAT:

1. MAKE WATER YOUR BEVERAGE OF CHOICE:

Drinking 8 glasses of  water per day wards off fatigue, increases energy, and helps you lose weight.  Include water at each meal and break.  Often, we think we are hungry, but really we are thirsty.  Drinking water will help you cut down on sugar.

2.  REDUCE PROCESSED SUGAR:

Refined sugar, made up of fructose and glucose carbohydrates,  is harder to metabolize than the purely glucose-based carbohydrates found in fruits and vegetables. Glucose is converted into energy, but fructose is mainly metabolized in liver cells.  When a person consumes too much fructose, the liver becomes overwhelmed and begins converting it into fat.  An accumulation of fat in the liver can cause insulin resistance and disrupt the body’s ability to maintain stable levels of blood sugar and fat.  Besides causing obesity, diabetes and heart disease; too much sugar contributes to fatigue and unstable moods.

MANA PAC
It is vital that we maintain support for the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) profession throughout the year as issues can arise at any time that will impact the practice. The MANA Political Action Committee (PAC) funds are used to support candidates and improve educational opportunities.
